Built in the 1960s, the Drachen Hotel has been reinvented as a 'fine-art' property in central Basel's museum district. The 43 guestrooms feature 'Wonders of the Modern and Ancient World' murals by 14 Spanish artists, depicting famous landmarks, from the Taj Mahal and the Great Pyramid, to the Blue Mosque and the Rialto Bridge.
